The new Tendou Souji
Personally, I'd take cutesy moe stuff like Clannad, Ika-Musume, etc over having boobs and panty-shots (Hi Kanokon!) shoved in my face every few minutes.
Those are not the only thing you see in today's anime.
Yeah, I pretty much agree with this.Personally, I'd take cutesy moe stuff like Clannad, Ika-Musume, etc over having boobs and panty-shots (Hi Kanokon!) shoved in my face every few minutes.
Those are not the only thing you see in today's anime.
Hey, sometimes people are completely serious about that and really don't look at other stuff outside of the overly-penetrating moe anime.
It gets hard to even try and find what anime's are worth watching each season.
Wow, we really agree on a lot of stuff huh?-snip-
I've been wanting to answer this question from someone for a while now.
No, you're not a bad person, you were just sold a lie. Late 90's to early 2000 television, and really anime companies in general sold us a lie, making us believe that every series and movie was a Macross, or an Akira. That isn't true now, and it was not true then.
The only thing is, back then they sifted through the crap to bring you the great stuff. For various reasons, they don't do that anymore--so now you have to do the sifting yourself. You're a big boy though, and it's pretty easy if you have the right resources and care to look.
The only thing that bugs me is when people try to say that all anime sucks "now" as if it's a fact, when the truth is most people are just too lazy to look for better stuff. Like romance? Try Kimi ni Todoke. Like shounen? Fairy Tail. Giant robots? Gundam Unicorn. Still (for whatever reason) a fan of kids anime? Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's is one of the best ones ever made.
Nothing NEW on you want to watch? Anime's WAY older than you--go through the archives, find your own buried gem.
There's WAY too much anime out for people to just pretend like good ones aren't made anymore and they found all the great ones from the past.
...How hard is it to read a chart?
@ KingRanger
But that's why you have to see for yourself instead of writing it off. It looks tough but it's really not. You can even read a plot description and find out if it's for you, but still, you have to at least try to look. When it comes down to it, there is something that is good, or at least watchable that isn't a fanservice-based anime.
BTW, I'm counting seven moe/fanservice for Spring season out of the 35 new shows airing. It can't really be that bad.
Also, back to the beginning for a sec, you know what I also think is a good show that I love? Letter Bee. That just got it's sequel with "Reverse."
