Actor Heath Ledger Found Dead

I haven't been keeping up with all of this but when the **** did Mary-Kate end up in this and why the hell was a 28 year old hanging out with a 12 year old?. :sly:

I do agree with Z-Unit that many of the prescription warnings include to notify your doctor and pharmacist if you're taking anything else. Every medication out there - including OTC - has a warning that you need to tell your doctor or pharmacist everything you're taking because it can interfere with other drugs. Most people don't realize that taking cold medication mixed with certain narcotics can create a deadly sleeping cocktail but most realize that the best way to commit suicide is to take an overdose of sleeping pills.

It's curious to find out if the medication was his or if he was "borrowing" Mary-Kate's (since it was her apartment). Doesn't one of the Ashley twins also have had drug problems in recent years? Or is it just the anorexia?

The fact STILL remains that only Heath will ever know for sure if he did do it on purpose but to me anyone who would take so many different painkillers, anti-anxiety pills and sleeping pills and took large quantities of them did have a death wish. To me that's suicidal behavior and thus a death resulting from that, to me, is suicide.

ugh... you're no worse than the lowly rat media with all these stupid speculations whatnot :redface2:

What ever, Doggy. I'll stand by my opinion because I happen to be knowledgeable in medication. There is just no way for a person to "accidentally" take so many narcotics without knowing the consequences.

I agree totally with that. I'm thinking now Ledger took them with the thought "OH nothing will happen to me" and unfortunatley it did.

Either way, It's sad to loose a good actor.

I'm sorry, I was going to stay out of this but that came off as condescending. I don't care how "knowledgeable" you are but it is possible to to accidentally take that many, especially if your so out of it or something preoccupied by something you don't realize how many your taking to begin with.

Well wasn't Heath also blitzed off blow aswell?.... I'm sure coke was in there too which impaired his judgment. I could be wrong, but I'm sure I heard he was ok blow.

Who knows about the blow but rumors have it that he was doing crystal meth. There have been pictures of him looking strung out so who knows. All I DO know is that when people are prescribed medications - legally - they are given all kinds of warnings about what you can and can't take or do while taking those medications.

When my daughter was placed on Concerta, we were told that she can't take cold medication with it, that it may cause nausea and that it can cause death if she takes more then what she's prescribed. It has a whole slew of what you can't take while taking it. A legitimate doctor tells a patient that. So if Keith was seeing a legitimate doctor to get all those meds then he was well aware of the consequences of taking too much.

The positive thing about his death, if one can call it that, is that people are now more aware that mixing medications and popping them like candy can and do result in death. It's just a shame he died rather then get professional help for his drug addiction because yes, you can get hooked on the type of drugs he was on. Valium and hydrocodone are type drugs that have the high risk of getting hooked on.
