2015 Sentai: Shuriken Sentai Ninninger - News/Rumours

Hmm that looks like a big torso on some very skinny legs. I can't help thinking that's going to be a toy that falls over very easily.

I'm probably overthinking it but maybe as ninja supposedly adapted everyday objects and tools into weapons these mech will be in some way based on what they do in their civilian lives? So they show that yellow is a laborer on a construction site, white volunteers at an animal shelter, and so on?
I don't understand why they gave Momoninja a train when we just had trains..
Planning for the inevitable crossover with ToQger so they can do train swapping (without having a dinosaur suddenly becoming a train :redface2:)?
I wonder what pink will be packaged with.
Maybe the pink and yellow shurikens come with a team cannon later on?

You guys wouldn't make it in the toy business. You're not thinking outside the box

Dragons, trains ,and construction vehicles cover a few bases that bandai are targeting.

Trains sell like hot cakes

Nowadays it's boring to have five vehicles that look the same.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get a dinosaur down the line

Dinosaurs will never NOT be insanely popular

Thinking outside the box would be not having yet another 5-piece robot again. Bring back shared mecha of the 80s. Or even a single piece robot with alternate modes.

Heck, a construction vehicle that turns into a dragon and a robot. That covers the bases, does it not? Some mystical creature disguising itself as everyday tech and turns into a robot to fight giant monsters or mechas.

It could be like in Gokaiger where pretty much none of the individual mechs mattered beyond the GokaiGalleon. It was the same thing, since a jet, a race car, a submarine, and a dump truck have nothing to do with pirates.

Which is why I never liked GokaiOh. It really ought to have been just the Galleon turning into a robot a la Daidenjin, the 80s secondary mechas or Galaxy Mega (albeit that was two pieces). I probably would've gotten the toy had that been so.

So, the mech seems to be a little robot sitting on a chair in the torso of a big robot. I... don't know what they were smoking to think that would look good, but ok.

Still better than ToQOh or the Engines.

True, but some variety would also be nice. Those can't be the only things that are popular with children, right?

By the way, is ShiroNin's mecha a dog?

More casting rumors

Before I left for church this morning, checked the Japanese forums and ID: VKYw1fH30 revealed who he/she believes will be in Ninninger next year.

赤…西川 Aka=Nishikawa
青…松本 Aoi=Matsumoto
黄…中村 Ki=Nakamura
白…矢野 Shiro=Yano
桃…山谷 Momo=Yamatani (I think)

And based on this I'll be the first to say that Yuka Yano in Ninninger is becoming a possibility.

Also, someone on the boards mentioned Aoi Nakamura being in it or Masaya Nakamura being in it. Let me say this. Not sure about Masaya but don't count on Aoi being in it at all due to his status in the acting world.

That's the information I found. Please stand by for more rumors to come, courtesy of the 2ch forums though sometimes their sources are not accurate.

UPDATE: This person here is being rumored for Ninniger, specifically Momoninja.
Also, add Masato Yano to your list of rumors though I think he'll be fake 'cause he doesn't match the clues given & his last name is for a female lead.

2nd UPDATE: Kininja's actor is now being rumored by the last name Nakagawa and NOT Nakamura.

3rd UPDATE: Nishikawa is figured out as either Shunsuke or Taiki. Just remember, these are only rumors.

Well, the suit looks fine considering the picture. Even if the concept is odd, it seems to work design-wise.

Well, at the first release pics, I honestly saw the Ninninja suits as just ok, but the promotional poster has completely shifted my perspective- they look absolutely amazing and unique as far as I'm concerned. I know a lot of other people don't like them, but I also love Abaranger & Boukenger's suit designs and not everyone likes those either, so, I'm fine on that front...

I do admit the mecha are a little bit odd, (and those shots are so bad, I sincerely think no one would know what the hell they were looking at if we hadn't been told beforehand :redface2: ) but I have seen enough to see that they put a lot of thought into how it all works together and, given the one persons' thoughts on how the bizarre nature of the mecha having no theme is the theme, I'm just going to assume that there is a somewhat different perspective of Ninja within actual Japanese culture than in Western culture & not rat on it too much.

Honestly, I just want to see some clearer pictures and some honest attempts at translating the names of the things mentioned in the toy line that aren't inherently obvious.

damn, that megazord looks awesome! at least from the ultra blurry pictures. much better than ToQger's stuff, so I'm glad. Creative that the red zord just SITS right in the chest and the other Auxiliary zords also do the same.

Also the idea of the white boots kind of works with me. It's different from the other ranger ninja's and is kind of reminiscent of the "Naruto-esque" ninja's with those white wrappings on their legs. Helmet's are a big "meh" to me though, I don't really like the design and i feel they could've done a better job incorporating the Shuriken on their face. MUCH better than what we had as a rumor with a black circle and a shuriken in the middle, but not quite hitting the spot. I think the Pink ranger and Blue are the best helmet designs, Something like Shurikenger, but I guess it would've been too close. Imagine them regretting naming him that considering this new show is all about shurikens. haha

After being absent from the 2nd half of Kyoryuger and pretty much avoiding the Toqger thread, I've finally dedcided to post on here again after seeing the looming awesomeness that is Ninninger, so..... OPINION TIME!!!

First off, the suits are pretty amazing looking even though the white boots contrasting will take some getting used to. The team emblem looks downright amazing as well and it'll be interesting to see a Sword changer in Super Sentai for a change.

Secondly, the Mecha already has me hooked. The main reason being that it feels like way more effort has been put into it's concept as opposed to Toq-Oh. The auxiliary mecha's coming after it also look just as good and I believe this is the 1st I've seen a Sentai series that has a mixture of Animals along with Vehicles making up a whole mecha.

Finally, I can't wait to see how all of this plays out in the series when it debuts and I'm honestly pushing for Toqger to end faster to see these guys in action. Hopefully they get the same treatment as Kyoryuger and get to team up with the Hurricanger and Kakuranger as well!

Ninninger's Head Director

People asked for him & you all just may get your wish as ◆zQacw/7nsedJ from the Japanese forums is rumoring Koichi Sakamoto as the head director.
