Choujinki Metalder - Thoughts & Opinions

great show! i actually believe Metalder was a series ahead of its time, thus ending after a short run.
early Heisei Rider series reminded me a lot of Metalder for some reason.

What I enjoy a lot about the older toku series is the fact that they don't talk don't to children and that they have a very fluid and engaging storyline that even adults can enjoy

But then scrub at Toei decided that toy sales mattered more than ratings and it's gone to hell ever since, Sentai especially

The revived Kamen Rider however has FLOURISHED despite a few setbacks (Den-O) and seems to take toy sales and good story telling both equally into account

I personally think the last really good Sentai program was Gekiranger, cuz it had a great storyline, awesome characters, etc.

It is fully subbed. You can get the dvd set on ebay for cheap. I own it and the quality and the subs are great.:thumbs:

I am a bit tempted but have been screwed over before by one of these Malaysian DVD's that had horrible subs. And it was for a movie not a series, so this could possibly turn out worse than that one did...
