The X-Men have never been more popular in regards to their movies, and everyone is looking forward to the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. As for Fantastic Four, there’s still a lot of uncertainty about how well the reboot movie does when it releases August 7th. However, there is a lot more hope than there was awhile back. Recently, there’s been talk that since the two series are owned by Fox, and that they could both become mega hits (which they weren’t the last time they could’ve tried this), a crossover film featuring the two would happen. In fact, there’s been rumors about this for quite a while. Now, X-Men director Bryan Singer seems to be saying that this may actually happen.
“Those ideas are in play,” he says. “That would be a natural match-up because they’re both ensemble films and there is a natural mechanism by which to do it.” And what might that “natural mechanism” be? Time travel, of course, or dimensional travel may be more accurate.
Regardless, this is huge news. If this sticks, it’ll be a big talking point, as it’ll be the biggest crossover film since the Avengers and the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. X-Men: Apocalypse will arrive in theaters next on
