Air, The men behind the Air Jordan
Air is star and directed by Ben Affleck. This is his reunion project with his best friend Matt Damon. Air will be their 7th film together proving the strength of their friendship and professional relationship as well. Jason Bateman, Viola Davis, Chris Tucker, Chris Messina, and Gustaf Skarsgård have joined the ensemble of this movie, glorifying the already impressive cast.
Back in 1984 Nike was hoping Air Jordans will make $3 million but their expectations got surpassed because in 1985 they sold $130 million. Michael Jordan is one of the most decorated legends in history of Basketball. Chicago Bulls became a 6 time NBA Champion when he was with them. I don’t remember the last time Bulls became champion since he left. He is an Olympic Gold Medalist and time 5 time MVP. Jordan even became a movie star with Space Jam. I do not want to write this article for eternity so I won’t be able to mention many of his other achievements. Thanks to that deal with Michael Jordan, Nike now have a Networth of $190.58B.
The Movie Air not about Michael Jordan though. I am sure he will have a Biopic somewhere in the future but this movie focuses on another amazing story. Sonny Vaccaro, is a salesman for the Athletic wear company Nike. He doesn’t work for Nike anymore but he is instrumental on making Nike a giant in sports footwear.
