XBLA introduce’s free-to-play games
Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade is coming out with two free-to-play games. Free-to-play has become a very successful model on the PC platform and now it is coming to consoles. More free-to-play games are sure to be on the way.
The first is an action MMORPG (with an M rating) named Ascend: New Gods. Which has some interesting player interaction.

The second is called Happy Wars. Which is also an action MMORPG(with an E rating), I should note that its official genre is “multiplayer fantasy brawler” but I really don’t see the difference. This way we can bring all the addiction that comes with MMORPG’s to children under ten years old.

Demon’s Souls anyone? Not sure how they can try and claim that’s unique.

I just played happy wars. Reminds me of castle crashers as a overhead instead of side scroller. I could see it catching on. It has that “kiddy” feel to it.
