Star Wars Battlefront Trailer and News!
True to their word, EA has given the world the first trailer for the return of Star Wars Battlefront. Behold its epicness!
Have you recovered from your mind being blown? Good, then we can continue.
There’s a lot to digest and a lot to process, as that trailer showed that this won’t simply be a “recount of battles” of sorts like the other Battlefront games. No, this will be a non-stop thrill ride from start to finish.
Aside from the trailer, there was a lot of news dropped at Star Wars Celebration about Battlefront (via IGN). For example:
When you can you get it? November 17, 2015 in North America and November 20, 2015 in the UK, on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
What will the game be like? Well, aside from the obvious, the game will actually not have a campaign mode. Instead, it’ll feature a series of missions for you to complete either on your own or in co-op. This is a big departure from previous Battlefront titles. Also, no space battles.
Where will you go? In probably the most ironic part of the game itself (based on the fact it’s called the Star Wars Universe), the game will only have you going to four planets. Hoth, Tatooine, Endor, and Sullust. No explanation as of yet as to why that is. Although it might be because the game itself is focused on the original trilogy of films and not the prequels.
But…there will be at least one more planet to visit, this coming via free DLC that’ll arrive a little while after launch on December 8th. This DLC will be called the “Battle of Jakku” and will feature the desert planet we’ll see in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Things are certainly looking awesome for this title. We’ll keep you posted when more things arrive!
