Violet Evergarden The Movie And Other Blu-Rays Announced From Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll revealed this weekend that it plans to release eleven Blu-Rays during the month of May.

These include the physical debut of Violet Evergarden The Movie, and….this is the kind of thing that’s difficult to comprehend if you’re not familiar with it already. The official description of the plot reads as this: “While writing other people’s emotions, she may have neglected her own. Violet Evergarden, the child soldier turned Auto Memory Doll, writes letters that evoke the words her clients can’t. But when a terminally ill boy requests her services for his family, her own feelings about love and loss resurface. Now she must confront her past and the death of the Major.” If that made sense to you, have at it.

There will be a Special Edition for Violet Evergarden The Movie that contains twelve art cards and exclusive promo Videos & trailers, housed in a collector’s box. The set will be released May 30.

Crunchyroll’s other big release for May is Restaurant to Another World 2, the sequel series to the tale of a restaurant that, on certain days, opens its doors to customers of all kinds — and other dimensions. Like Vioket Evergarden, there will be both a standard and a deluxe edition of this physical release. The Collector’s Edition will contain a 64-page art book full of concept art, interviews, three official recipe cards, and a carved-out space to store Season 1 if you have it. Special features include commercials and a textless opening sequence. This Blu-Ray will be served May 9.
