Vault Hunters plagued by ‘Do No Harm’ Borderlands 2 bug
WARNING: this article contains possible spoilers.
Since the release of Gearbox Software’s FPSRPG Borderlands 2, a growing number of Pandora’s budding explorers have encountered a problem with ‘Do No Harm’, one of the game’s side missions.
‘Do No Harm’ becomes available upon reaching Sanctuary. You’re tasked with surgically removing a shard of Eridium from a bandit under the supervision of mentally unstable medical practitioner Dr. Zed, and taking it to Crimson Raiders HQ for researcher Patricia Tannis to examine. However, players are reporting that, after talking to Tannis about the valuable mineral, they cannot turn in and complete the quest.
Thankfully, according to Gearbox forums moderator ‘SteveJ’, a fix is on its way:

“Alright, I have a fix ready for QA and if all goes well it will be included in a future update. This fix will prevent the bug from happening and for those already hit by this issue it will automatically make the quest ready to turn in.”

Until then, Mr J advises that players who have yet to reach Sanctuary allow Tannis’ introductory cutscene to play before trying to talk to her. This will prevent the glitch from occurring.
Technical difficulties aside, Borderlands 2 has received major critical acclaim in the last week, earning high scores from PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC reviewers. It is a beautiful, engrossing, thoroughly entertaining IP, and if you like guns, exploration, boss battles, guns, comedy, co-op multiplayer and guns, you owe it to yourself to buy a copy.
You won’t regret it, we promise you.
