Marvel Comics has officially announced a new book starring the Inhumans which will debut with the revamped Marvel Universe later this fall. The new relaunched Inhumans series, Uncanny Inhumans, will feature the creative team of writer Charles Soule and artist Steve McNiven, the same team behind the Death of Wolverine story.
The roster will feature Black Bolt, Medusa, Triton, Reader, Human Torch and Beast. In the new series, eight months have passed and Queen Medusa and her new paramour Johnny Storm look to bolster Human and Inhuman relations with the world’s eyes upon Attilan. However, the Midnight King has other plans. Black Bolt’s new position is running covert operations in service of a larger, mysterious goal. Former X-Men member and mutant Beast has also decided to join the Inhumans. In addition, Kang the Conqueror looks to exploit the Inhumans for his own gain.
Speaking on the upcoming series, writer Charles Soule stated: “Many things have changed in the Marvel Universe for the Inhumans in the eight months since the end of Secret Wars. Something happened- something gigantic. Something that will affect Inhumans and Mutants alike. The brilliant X-Man Beast, aka Hank McCoy, is now living in the Inhuman citadel of New Attilan, working directly with Queen Medusa and the other Inhumans.”
The book debuts later this fall. You can check out some cover artwork for the first issue below:
