Women of Marvel is a limited Comic Anthology celebrating Women’s History Month because Marvel does have Amazing Heroines. There won’t be a Men with Boobs trope on this Anthology because this comic compilation will exclusively feature female writers and illustrators. Of course, some men can write female characters powerfully, but there is a more authentic feel when women write female characters.

But before Hollywood decided to pump millions into fanboy fantasy scenarios, there was another group of creative minds delivering on ideas previously discussed only in the back of comic book stores.
Dark Horse Comics has been publishing material related to the Alien and Predator movies for nearly its entire existence. They took a chance on an Aliens book in 1988 and it took off, paving the way for countless expanded universe stories, and acquired Predator in 1989. It was Dark Horse that came up with the idea of merging the two properties, something the movie studio later adapted for itself.
Marvel Legacy has been billed as a return to the old while also embracing the new status quo of the universe. So, at New York Comic Con, Marvel revealed that one of the newest additions to the Marvel universe would be getting their own comic…Weapon H.
Iron Man has been in an interesting position the last few years. A while back (after the events of Axis) he became the Superior Iron Man, giving in to his dark and arrogant ways for the “greater good”. Then, after the events of Civil War II he was put into a coma, and Dr. Doom (wanting to change his ways) became the Infamous Iron Man, and a young girl named Riri Williams was selected by Stark (via an AI imprint of his brain) to take over for him as the true Iron Man, or in this case taking the name Ironheart.
So unfortunately, this is still happening. Sony Pictures announced today that the solo Venom movie is coming out in 2018. Additionally, it was revealed that Tom Hardy is now set to play Eddie Brock aka Venom in the upcoming feature.
Per Marvel Entertainment, Agent Phil Coulson and his team will be back for at least one more season. The word was sent out today from ABC that Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD will be back for Season 5.
It’s not April Fool’s Day. This news comes straight from Marvel Entertainment, so it’s definitely real. Marvel confirmed today that a new animated series based on Deadpool is in the works. The show will be an “adult animated” series, and it’s set to debut with 10 episodes on FXX later in 2018.
Marvel pulled a big move when they “revealed” that Captain America was a sleeper agent for Hydra. Now in truth, his history was changed via a Cosmic Cube to make him think that, but he didn’t know that. Then, through the last few months, Steve Rogers has been building an empire led by villains and Hydra loyalists. This all got spearheaded via the Secret Empire event which started last month with a #0 issue, and then continued with Secret Empire #1. The twist here was that while Secret Empire #0 show Captain America revealing who he was and implementing his takeover plan, Secret Empire #1 jumped ahead a few months to show us just how complete his victory was.
Telltale Games dropped a new launch trailer today ahead of the digital download release this week for Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series. The first episode of the episodic games series arrives on April 18 for $4.99 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC and Mac.
