Spider-Man Lotus” is a movie made by a fan for fans of Spider-Man. It’s like seeing your favorite fanfiction turned into a real movie. Even though they didn’t have a big budget (just over $100,000), I still had a good time watching it. The action scenes and special effects aren’t super fancy, but I liked the story and the actors. The acting might not win any awards, but it kept me interested for the whole two hours. It’s not a blockbuster, but I still enjoyed it without expecting too much. Not bad for a movie with budget below 1 million. I had low expectations, but I loved every minute of it, and the best part is, it’s free to watch! Andrew Garfield was rather an unknown talent to the world until a spider’s bite webbed him to international fame. In 2012 the world was intrigued by the new, ever-smiling Spider-Man. We watched as the young actor transformed the old, familiar history of the web swinger, into a thrilling performance like no other. He was not new to acting or to the stage, just a hidden talent that popped up chasing an oversized lizard, dangling from a web. A few months back, I wrote the article 15 90s Things I Like. One of the projects I mentioned was Dick Tracy, and my newest interview subject, John Caglione Jr., is a large reason why I loved that movie so much. With his Oscar-winning makeup designs, created alongside Doug Drexler, John Caglione Jr. helped bring the characters of Chester Gould’s classic comic strip to life. There’s more to John than that, though, as he’s been creating makeup since he was a teenager and one of the youngest staff members at Saturday Night Live. He’s worked with legendary directors like Steven Spielberg and Francis Ford Coppola, his working relationship with Al Pacino, which began on Dick Tracy, has been going on for over three decades now, and he’s still working to this day.
