Lost Super Mario Advance 4 Levels Recreated With Super Mario Maker
In 2002 Nintendo released the E-Reader, a quirky device that let the Game Boy Advance read data from swiped cards. The data would unlock content, add information to games or sometimes even contain entire games themselves. The concept never fully caught on, but before it was discontinued, Nintendo used the E-Reader as a method of unlocking hidden content in Super Mario Advance 4 (which was Super Mario Bros. 3). Since few people owned an E-Reader, few people got to see these new levels, created by Nintendo, for one of their most classic games. Today that changed, sort of. It’s possible for the most part to recreate the extra Super Mario Bros 3. levels in Super Mario Maker, and that’s exactly what somebody at Reddit has done. Enter these codes into the game, load up the levels and experience a part of Mario history few have been able to.
