Extraction 2 released its full trailer after Netflix kept as hanging with teasers. Director Sam Hargrave reunites with Chris Hemsworth and Golshifteh Farahani to continue where the first movie left off.  In addition to the returning cast, Extraction 2 welcomes new faces. Olga Kurylenko, Daniel Bernhardt, Adam Bessa, and Tinatin Dalakishvili joins the cast. Spoiler alert, In the first film, we thought  Australian Mercenary Tyler Rake died from his Mission to save the life of the kidnapped Drug Lord’s son, Ovi. The boy did survive, but he never knew what happened to Tyler. The end credits, though, did imply he somehow survived. Everyone who watched the first film just speculated he died.  He almost died in the Mission, but it only puts him in a comma. Extraction 2 is a sequel to the first movie which was one of the most-watched original movies on Netflix. With over 99 million households tuning in, the action thriller became an instant hit. The first film was notable for being the first mainstream movie where Chris Hemsworth, who plays the lead character Tyler Rake, spoke in his natural accent since his character is Australian. The movie had a mixed reaction, despite the success because of the usage of the Yellow Filter because the movie was set in Bangladesh. Hollywood had a hobby of using a yellow and red filter in Tropical and humid climate regions. That offended some people but the movie is still well received. While the first film had an open ending that left viewers questioning whether Tyler survived or not, this sequel provides the answer. Until now, the Men In Black movies have been strictly American…but it takes a world to protect a world. Next summer Columbia Pictures will present MIB International, introducing us to the London branch of the MIB for the first time. Our first big look at the picture was granted today. Tessa Thompson plays Agent M, a new recruit who wasn’t intended to be one….she proved herself worthy of joining the MIB by figuring out their secrets on her own. She’s partnered up with Agent H, played by Chris Hemsworth (and yes, there is a Thor allusion gag in this trailer). Are we looking at a reboot or a sequel? Depends on how you perceive it…..the one connective element between this and the previous trilogy is the presence of Emma Thompson as Agent O, who played that role back in MIB 3. But Will Smith isn’t hanging around….he’s too busy playing a genie in a Disney movie. It’s a fine trailer, but we couldn’t tell you if the movie it’s hyping
