Destiny Now Has 25 Million Players
In preparation for an upcoming investor’s call, Activision Blizzard has released information about the number of players that have registered on Destiny. According to the report, the shooter from Bungie now has 25 million players, which is an impressive growth of 5 million users in just three months and approaching double the number of people who had played the game in February. Much of this could be put down to the latest release for the game that saw Destiny change radically, with new weapons, story missions, gameplay and stats added to the overall experience. The publisher also revealed that the average time players spend playing the game has increased to 3 hours, though they didn’t reveal how many players are actively playing the title. “Day-one downloads broke PlayStation records, day-one engagement saw the highest number of active players in Destiny’s history, daily player engagement is now well above 3 hours per day and the Destiny community has climbed to over 25 million registered players,” said Activision of the The Taken
