Smoke and Rain are the latest revealed playable characters for the “Lin Kuei” trailer for Mortal Kombat 1. The Last time Smoke is playable was back in Mortal Kombat 2011. After he got killed by Sindel I don’t even remember him as a revenant NPC for story mode. It is nice that he finally gets attention again and this time with a new haircut. In this new Timeline Smoke was an orphan who got adopted by the Lin Kuei. He is not Blood brothers with Scorpion and Sub Zero but he is treated as one of their own. He is not born with super natural magic, so his haze based powers are practical magic. On the trailer, He was assisted by Cyrax at the fight, which means Cyrax is Kameo character. During the montage of Sub Zero’s fight, Sektor is revealed to be a Kameo character too.
The new “Outfit 2” trailer for Street Fighter 6 evokes nostalgia among fans, particularly those who missed the classic Gi outfits of Ryu and Ken. These returning characters now sport their younger-day appearances. Some fans expressed disappointment with Chun-li and Cammy’s less revealing default costumes, considering their age. However, they now have the option of choosing Delta Red Cammy and Classic Chun-li outfits. Yes Cammy in her Green Leotard and Chun-li on her Chinese dress and brown stockings. They also look younger on their classic outfits.
After success in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Nicolas Cage will play himself again. He is going to be a DLC paragraph for Dead By Daylight. He will be voicing himself, and he scans his face and body for his likeness. The trailer shows a ruined movie set and a director’s chair on the floor. That means the entity might have grabbed him while filming a movie. Nicolas Cage has done every genre of movie, and that includes horror. He recently played a convincing campy villain for the movie Renfield where he played the role of a Vampire. Cage starred in many horror movies, both as The Survivor and The Killer. People may have accused him of being a Nepo Baby, but he is a talented actor. He can play both Protagonists and antagonists.
Team Samurai debuts as the Next DLC team for King of Fighters XV. Nakoruru, who made her KOF debut in KOF XIV, makes her return but with two different teammates. The last time she appeared in a KOF game. The Ainu princess teams up with Pachinko Machine characters Mui Mui and Love Heart.
Several months ago, Super Smash Bros. boss Masahiro Sakurai promised the first Smash fighter in the second DLC pack would be from the Switch game ARMS….but he never elaborated beyond that. Months of speculation later, the fighter was revealed at 7 AM this morning as….Min Min, the ramen-themed one.
Kingdom Hearts 3 was released nearly a year ago, but its story isn’t over yet. Sora and his animated buddies are returning one more time in the ReMind DLC chapter, which arrives early next year.
In Ice-Pick Lodge’s Pathologic 2, released last May, you’re a doctor in a secluded rural town, trying to deal with a horrifying plague that’s infecting the townsfolk and turning them into monsters. Now there’s more of the story to experience, as Ice-Pick and publisher TinyBuild introduce a new DLC-delivered spinoff, The Marble Nest.
The impending release of Modern Warfare may be attracting all the attention, but Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 isn’t ready to retire just yet. A new content season has just been launched, Operation Dark Divide, and you can enjoy it now on Playstation 4 (yes, we’re still doing the exclusivity thing….you know the drill, XBox owners, wait one month).
Cuphead is one of the most memorable video games to be released this generation, and will likely go down in history as a timeless classic. It doesn’t use polygons or sprites, but instead mimics the look of a 1930s cartoon as closely as possible (and it’s also hard as nails). There’s nothing like it.
In this day and age, you should have known Kingdom Hearts 3 wasn’t truly the end, even if it does wrap up a “trilogy.” There is DLC on the way, and it was confirmed at the Kingdom Hearts Ochestra: World of Tres performance in Los Angeles last night. Attendees of the concert got a surprise reveal of the DLC trailer on the big screen, and though they told everyone “no photography,” somebody sneaked a cell phone video and uploaded it that night.
Nintendo surprise-dropped a video covering the release of Smash Bros Ultimate Version 3.0 to the Web this evening. The video was 15 minutes long and could have easily been its own Direct, but….we know by now that to call Nintendo unpredictable would be an understatement.
The trilogy isn’t completely over….Lara suits up for one more mission in “The Grand Caiman,” the latest DLC chapter to be released for Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
