Starhawk patch 1.4 bringing 3 new gamemodes

At launch Starhawk came with the promise of new maps and gamemodes being added entirely free over time by Lightbox Interactive. The game’s last patch brought in two new maps, and now patch 1.4 will be bringing three new gamemodes into the mix.

The three modes offer different gameplay to what already exists within Starhawk.

Gatekeeper is a hawk-only dog-fighting mode which sees players attempting to obtain a ball, which they then have to fly through several rings to score points. All while trying not to be shot down by every other player on the map.

Assault sees teams taking turns attacking and defending. Defenders have to hold territories while attackers attempt to overrun and take them over – territories can’t be regained after being lost, so defenders will need to fall back and regroup.

Arena deathmatch is a your standard free-for-fall deathmatch mode, with some spice added by randomly falling build-and-battle buildings constantly landing on the battlefield.

All gamemodes will be made available to players when the 1.4 patch goes live soon.
