SDCC: DC’s Darkseid War Gets Tie-Ins With Justice League: Gods And Men
One of the big events that DC Comics is doing right now is a full on war between Darkseid and the Anti-Monitor. THis means two of the most powerful beings in the DC universe will go at it. With the Justice League caught in the middle, things are going to get rough. At SDCC, Geoff Johns, who’s writing the event, revealed that there will be a six-issue miniseries titled Justice League: Gods and Men that will delve into how six key characters are being affected by this war. Thanks to this reveal, we not only know who will be the focus, but what the single issue stories will be about. You can get more details on the Justice League crossover event below:
Batman – This issue explores the fallout of Batman gaining control of the Mobius chair and gaining the infinite knowledge of Metreon. Apparently he’ll use that knowledge to completely eliminate crime in Gotham City.
Superman – With Superman transformed into a violent brute, only Lex Luthor stands a chance of restoring his mind.
Green Lantern – With Oa transformed into a Parademon factory, Hal Jordan responds to a distress call from John Stewart.
Lex Luthor – Apparently Luthor will become the new ruler of Apokolips during this storyline, and this issue explores what happens when Luthor is finally in charge of an entire world.
The Flash – Barry Allen becomes the new Black Racer, and in this issue is dispatched to claim his ally, Aquaman.
Shazam – Billy Batson receives a major change in powers, as he now channels the abiltiies of the New Gods of New Genesis rather than the old gods of Earth.
Some of these reveals are shocking to say the least.
