Rage is going to be a rather large game. How big? I’ll tell you in the full article.
id Software’s Creative Director, Tim Willets has conifrmed to Digital Foundry that the Xbox 360 version of their newest shooter, Rage will indeed span 3 discs on Microsoft’s flagship console while the PlayStation 3 version will have an 8GB install.
Here’s some of his words on PlayStation allowing id’s massive install,
“Sony was great. Kudos to Sony for letting us do that. They don’t allow every game to do that. So definitely, hats off,” he said. “What we were able to do is install all the textures to the highest level. What is nice about the PS3 platform is that it’s just one platform. Everyone has one Blu-ray drive, one hard drive, it’s all the same. Some of the other systems you have… should I install it on my 360? Should I not install it? So yes, it’s very nice.”
On Xbox and worrying about free space on your hard drive,
“We recommend installing the game to the hard drive, but you don’t need to install all three discs,” he said. “If you don’t have the space available on your hard drive, don’t stress. Install the first disc, the first chapter, the first half of the game, then when you’re done, uninstall and install disc two. You don’t really need to install the multiplayer disc if you’re really tight on hard disk space.”

Today’s the day! After over a year of slowly building up the beta version on Steam Early Access, Studio Aurum has at last finished Monster Crown, their Pokemon-inspired monster trading and battling game. But it’s not just on PC. You can now get the game on Switch for the first
This one came across our desk with the title “Low-Poly City Builder Arrives October 11.” We thought the title was Low-Poly City Builder and we immediately approved, but it turns out the game is actually called Settlement Survival. Low-Poly City Builder would probably sell better. Developed by Gleamer Studios, Settlement
Origamihero Games, which previously released Heart Chain Kitty on Switch, is preparing their second game, this time for both Switch and PC(via Steam). Starlight Alliance is a third-person RPG created by Bernhard Politsch, who also created Heart Chain Kitty. It’s the future, and both robotics and space travel have been
