If you’ve preordered Space Hulk Tactics, an adaption of the Warhammer tabletop game Space Hulk by developer Cyanide Studio, today is the day you’ll first get to mess with the game. Cyanide is officially opening up their beta build to all who have preordered up to this point, and the beta will remain open until the actual game launches.
Players will be able to journey through a massive Space Hulk as either the malicious alien Genestealers or the Space Marine Terminators — both will be customizable through a unique card-based system. The multipleyer consists of five maps, but the map creation tool will also be live, so the number of actual maps in the game is “infinity.”
Cyanide Studios has a trailer for you, profiling the Genestealers. According to the official description, “Their strategies and playstyle are completely different, creating truly asymmetrical multiplayer. Using their numbers and agility to their advantage, the Genestealers are a more aggressive force, but one with less options on how to handle each situation.”
For those who didn’t preorder, the wait won’t be long from this point….Space Hulk Tactics launches on Playstation 4, XBox One and PC October 9.
Bringing a unique twist to the classic gameplay of the cult board game, engage in bloody battles through an immense Space Hulk – a twisted mass of asteroids, wrecked ships and debris – as either a squad of Terminator Space Marines or the deadly alien Genestealers. Which side will you choose?
