He’s got a new quest that’s bigger than him or any petty squabble between lycans: Endron Intrernational, a powerful and evil corporation, is polluting and destroying their homeworld, and they must unite to take them down. One would assume in a violent beat-em-up like this, you would prefer to be a manwolf all the time, but the gameplay is a bit more varied than that. For the last two years, Cyanide Studio has been working on a video game version of the popular tabletop RPG Werewolf: The Apocalypse. We don’t know the exact date the game will be released, but we figure they must be getting closer, because today the studio announced they’ve landed a distribution deal. It’s Bigben Interactive — the same company that’s distributing The Sunken City by Frogwares. Alain Falc, Bigben’s CEO, released this statement upon the announcement: “We are thrilled to have reached this agreement which considers, in an equitable way, the different parties’ investments. If you’ve preordered Space Hulk Tactics, an adaption of the Warhammer tabletop game Space Hulk by developer Cyanide Studio, today is the day you’ll first get to mess with the game. Cyanide is officially opening up their beta build to all who have preordered up to this point, and the beta will remain open until the actual game launches. Players will be able to journey through a massive Space Hulk as either the malicious alien Genestealers or the Space Marine Terminators — both will be customizable through a unique card-based system. The multipleyer consists of five maps, but the map creation tool will also be live, so the number of actual maps in the game is “infinity.” Cyanide Studios has a trailer for you, profiling the Genestealers. According to the official description, “Their strategies and playstyle are completely different, creating truly asymmetrical multiplayer. Game developer Cyanide Studio is currently translating the beloved Warhammer tabletop game Space Hulk into a new tactics-based video game experience. It’s their second Warhammer property they’ve game-ified: Cyanide has already produced two adaptions of the Blood Bowl board game. Players will be able to journey through a massive Space Hulk as either Space Marines or aliens — both will be customizable through a unique card-based system.
