Mega Man Legacy Collection Nintendo 3DS Collector’s Edition, New Amiibo and More Revealed
Capcom officially announced this week some new details for the upcoming highly anticipated release retail release of the Mega Man Legacy Collection. This includes a new Collector’s Edition of the game for the Nintendo 3DS and a new Mega Man Amiibo (pictured above). The Mega Man Legacy Collection is now slated for a February 23, 2016 for retail editions of the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The 3DS version will also be available on the same date.
During yesterday’s Nintendo Direct event, Nintendo revealed that the 3DS version will feature more than 100 new art and history pieces packed into the game’s in-game Museum. In addition, 11 Nintendo 3DS exclusive remix challenges can be unlocked using the original Mega Man Amiibo. However, Nintendo also revealed a brand-new, gold-colored Mega Man Amiibo that can unlock additional challenges. The catch? The gold Mega Man Amiibo will only be available for the 3DS Collector’s Edition. Mega Man Legacy Collections is currently available as a digital download for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Windows PC for $14.99. It will also be available for the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS alongside the retail release for February 23, 2016.
