Nude Mods are often installed by certain PC users, primarily of the incel community, onto their games. These players usually do so within the confines of their homes or on game streaming services that permit such modifications. However, these modifications are strictly prohibited on free television broadcasts and during global events. An incident of a risqué nature occurred at the Evo 2023 Street Fighter 6 tournament. This incident took place during a match between Chun-li and Kimberly. Initially, both players were poised for battle; nevertheless, they and the commentators abruptly halted upon realizing that a nude mod had been activated, leaving Chun-li completely unclothed.
In Street Fighter 6, the default costumes of Cammy and Chun-li were reimagined to ensure they maintained a television-friendly appearance. This redesign was imperative due to the nature of Evo being an esports event, which aims to steer clear of parental complaints. Importantly, this occurrence was not the fault of the players themselves.
Instead, it emerged that one of the organizers had unintentionally left a Nude Mod activated on their PC. It is worth noting that Capcom, the developer of Street Fighter, vehemently disapproves of these Nude Mods, motivated by their desire to prevent any humiliation of their copyrighted characters. This perspective is one of the driving forces behind Capcom’s refusal to collaborate on a Mortal Kombat Vs. Street Fighter game, as they wish to safeguard their iconic characters from potential degradation through Mortal Kombat-style fatalities.
Imagine the parents who have to cover the eyes of their children because of someone who decided to install a NSFW mod.

Who installed the mod? It’s likely one of the organizers or someone who pranked them. The trending of Street Fighter 6 on Twitter was a result of the Nude Mod incident at the tournament. Kudos to the tournament crew for attempting to maintain professionalism amidst the ongoing craziness.
