Nerdcore rap artist Mega Ran is a big Mega Man fan — it’s in the name. Now he has announced a team-up with Noveliss, of the Detroit hip-hop group Clear Soul Forces, to produce the ultimate Mega Man X tribute album: Maverick Hunters.
Classic platforming action comes home! The Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection brings all four games in the Mega Man Zero series along with both Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent from handheld platforms to full-sized screens for the first time. The collection of six games dashes onto the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Nintendo Switch™ system, and PC beginning today. The collection will be available both digitally and at North American retail locations for consoles, while PC players can purchase the digital edition on Steam.
Sega threw us a curveball this morning with the next ten games announced for their Genesis Mini. The list includes a game no American kid had in their collection…although under special circumstances, they may have had the ability to briefly play it.

Having defeated Dr. Wily’s most expensive robot boss ever, Gold Man, Mega Man has now gained Gold Man’s ability of being solid gold. However, this means he fell directly through the first platform of the next stage, which collapsed under his weight. He really should’ve saved that stage for last.
It’s been 8 years since the last true Mega Man game launched, but this October, the legendary franchise returns with an all-new coat of paint. Mega Man 11 is set to bring many new things to the table, including a whole new visual style for the first time to the main series. And now, at San Diego Comic-Con, they’ve dropped a new trailer showing off the returning Torch Man.

Later this month, Mega Man Legacy Collection will be released for Nintendo Switch, featuring all ten mainline games in the Blue Bomber’s history. After that, in July, Mega Man X Legacy Collection will come out for all major consoles. You could collect Mega Man history that way, or you could go for the gusto…
Capcom has many lauded franchises, but one that many fans resonate with the most is Mega Man. The character was born on the NES, and went on to be a part of many major consoles and handhelds since. Yet, after 2010, there were no new releases, there were only the compilations with past games. Yet, the character is about to return in the form of Mega Man 11, but that still leaves the question of why he was abandoned for nearly seven years.
