Lost Gully Road Coming December 3
Wild Eye Releasing has announced it plans to bring the Australian horror film Lost Gully Road to DVD and VOD platforms next week.
If there’s any universal lesson that can be learned from horror movies, it’s that wandering into a remote dwelling in the middle of the forest is never, never, NEVER a good idea. Unfortunately protagonists of horror films, whose dumb decisions must provide the catalyst for frights, are doomed to repeat this mistake until the end of cinema. And that brings us to Lucy.
We’ll give Lucy credit for this — it wasn’t really her idea. That makes her a bit smarter than most of these people, but not by much. It was her sister that wanted the remote cabin vacation, and Lucy protested but she insisted. “Just wait there and I’ll join you in a few days,” she says on the phone. Lucy has no desire to eat and sleep in such an isolated, creepy place, and her instincts are right on.
It appears she’s not alone in there. Is Lucy being haunted, is she crazy, or are the medications she’s been taking MAKING her crazy? Only the full movie holds the answer. Lost Gully Road stars Adele Perovic (The Code), Jane Clifton (Beast), and John Brumpton (The Loved Ones), and will be out December 3.
Lost Gully Road tells the story of Lucy, a directionless young woman who travels to a secluded cottage in the forest to wait for her sister. With no television and little communication to the outside world she spends her days alone and drinking to pass the time. That is, until her unexpected host decides to keep her company…
