Injustice 2 Trailer Reveals Black Canary
Another character has joined the Injustice 2 roster in Black Canary. You can check out a new trailer for Black Canary, showing off her look and move set in-game in the player below. The upcoming game is set to launch this May.
She still has her Canary scream, and it looks like an updated and modern look for the character. It definitely seems to skew closer to an updated version of her comic look, though, over her more recent TV appearance in Arrow on The CW.
Black Canary now joins an eclectic confirmed game roster for Injustice, including Atrocitus, Blue Beetle, Deadshot, Braniac, Darkseid, Gorilla Grodd, Supergirl, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Power-Girl and Reverse-Flash. That’s along with mainstay characters such as Superman, Batman, Robin, Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Aquaman.
Injustice 2 arrives on May 16 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Here’s an official synopsis for the game:
Developed by NetherRealm Studios, Injustice 2 offers the latest DC fighting game experience that expands on the previous title’s larger-than-life showdowns. Every battle defines you in a game where players personalize iconic DC characters with unique and powerful gear earned throughout the game. For the first time gamers can take control of how their characters look, fight and develop across a variety of game modes.
Injustice 2 continues the epic cinematic story introduced in Injustice: Gods Among Us as Batman and his allies work towards putting the pieces of society back together while struggling against those who want to restore Superman’s regime. In the midst of the chaos, a new threat appears that will put Earth’s existence at risk. Players can play from the biggest DC roster ever offered in a fighting game, from classic fan favorites such as Batman, Superman, Supergirl and Aquaman, to astonishing new villains like Atrocitus, Gorilla Grodd, and Deadshot. Battles will take place across arenas that have evolved in scale and span across iconic locations such as Metropolis, Gotham City and Atlantis.

I like the black canary character a lot, but why do they keep going back to the swimsuit and fishnet tights look? It is not just strangely sexualized even for a superhero costume but also super dated. When was the last time any women wore black fishnet other than ironically?
Frankly they call it an "modern" look but to me it is totally retro other than involving a bit less of the virtual hair-spray.
