Honour Runs Comes To Steam
Back in 2013 a game called Smatter: Honour Runs was released for the XBox 360. Until now it was exclusive to that console — and impossible to play otherwise. The developers behind the game, noeyehandGames in London, are about to remedy that problem…a Steam version, with the shortened title of Honour Runs, is about to be released in two days.
Honour Runs is a twin-stick shooter with swarms of enemies to mow your way through. Explore fifteen vast levels, enjoy dark-neon visuals, and challenge formidable bosses as you try to….actually, there’s no mention of a story or an identity for the main character, but who needs that?
Improvements made to the PC version of the game include remixed levels — beating the game once unlocks a new set of levels unseen in the original, which are far more challenging. A leaderboard has also been added to the game.
- 15 handcrafted, increasingly complex, and challenging dungeons.
- A score attack system based on balanced aggression, speed, damage received and kills made.
- AI and game mechanic enhancements from Xbox 360’s version.
- Remixed versions of each of the levels available to unlock.
- Global leader boards
- Rétro atmosphere and Electro Music
If you missed it the first time, you’ve got a second chance…check out Honour Runs when it comes out for PC February 16.
Honour Runs is a tribute to the twin-stick shooter genre. It combines the beloved neon fireworks, old school exploration, retro graphics, electro ambience, hectic action and a complex score attack system. Honour Runs offers an adrenaline-filled thrill ride through 15 hand-crafted challenging dungeons. Grab pickups and use the powerups carefully to defeat mini-bosses and all the enemies that try to overwhelm you. The scoring system creates a new tactical challenge for gamers and the chance to compete at an international level.
