Gotham EP Teases Season 3 Arcs And Villains
Last night was the season finale of the second season of Gotham. Overall, the season has been praised for its tight storytelling and massive improvement over its inaugural season. With Season 03 confirmed, ComicBookResources.com talked with executive producer John Stephens about the potential stories and arcs that the third season will have.
One of the big ones being the continued transformation of Bruce into Batman:
“He has a long way to go. Our thinking is that, in every season, we’re going to start trying to add another piece of the Batman jigsaw puzzle. For instance, in Season 3, we’ll be adding another huge piece of the puzzle that will go into being Batman. He still has a long way to go — physically, emotionally and intellectually — in all those different facets.
When you saw episode 10 this year, where he and Selina ran a con on Silver St. Cloud and he appeared to be one thing over another — you saw him really step forward and be a different person than he had been before. To me, that was a big step forward to him becoming Batman.”
As for villains, some more classic characters are apparently in store for us.
“We’ll be seeing Mad Hatter in Season 3. We’ll be seeing the Tweedle Brothers, too, if we’re going to bring the Hatter in. In line with the Court of Owls, we’ll be seeing Talon. And, we should be seeing Solomon Grundy,”
