Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger EP 21 - "Zuooon! The Return of Plezuon"

How many batteries does Plezuon have?

Putting him aside, Gold also happens to have more batteries than everyone else. He clearly is meant to be special.

Yea he has like 50...6, yea he has like 6 which brings up more questions. Doesn't he have whole section rather than a column like the others? lol

"Ooo look at me I have a mech that also has a humanoid form, my chest emblem looks different, I have more batteries, a different changer, have to shoulder pads unlike you weirdos, and I'm Gold...Oh and by "look at me", I mean don't look at me because I'm a humble and empathetic person who brings greatness out of others"

Pfft...what a jerk.

But, we've had 6th with partners before whose changers resembled said partners (Gaosilver, Abarekiller (shut up, Gai counted him)) and while their outfits had a varied styling, it didn't seem as odd as this is coming off.

Oh no I'm not talking about Sentai in general, just Kyoryuger. That rule is waaay to specific to be applied in general. That's some dangerous predictability.

Forgive me if this is too obvious, but could it be that Gold is just different because he's the super special awesome sixth and they want to sell him as such, and there's no real plot/mechanical reason for it other than the fact he's super special awesome sixth?

The thing is, that is so painfully obvious that it must not be true...

So Violet, Cyan, Grey and (supposedly) Silver aren't "super special awesome"?
They're certainly not being marketed as such. None of them (other than Silver, who might be) have even so much as Sentai Hero figures (yet), unique toys or changers (Silver is just using a recolored Gaburevolver), and so on. On the other hand, Gold gets a fancy sword, his own one of a kind changer (the spirits don't even get changers), a one of a kind battery holder colored just for him, and so on.

Basically, Gold is the one getting the standard LOOK HOW COOL HE IS BUY THESE TOYS sixth ranger treatment, and I think that's all there really is to it. I'll gladly accept any reason they give for why he looks different, but at this point in the game, I just don't think there's going to be one beyond LOOK HOW COOL AND DIFFERENT AND UNIQUE HE IS.

Gold?

My guess is that his changer and sword simply comes from Pteragordon's power, that's all, and they'll never going to bother explaining why the equally powerful Plezuon does not give anything fancy to Ulshade, or why Bragigas' senshi only gets a recolored Gaburevolver.

Speaking of Gaburevolver, Ulshade's display calls it Gaburivolver lol

And speaking of Ulshade....is it just me or did his voice actually sounds DIFFERENT? When he says "Gaburincho" in the lab, it sounds like a single syllable in a flat tone, while the Gaburevolver says it like "GA-bu-RINNN~cho!!" (the syllables are more apparent, and it has a varied tone). Not to mention Ulshade's version is faster than the Gaburevolver's version.
The same thing also happens during his Kyoryu Change, there's a distinct difference between his own voice and his Gaburevolver's voice, and it is even more apparent (at least to me) since the Gaburevolver makes its sounds right after Ulshade. Ulshade says it like "Plezuooon!!" while Gaburevolver says it like "Pleee-zuon!!"

--A space transformation. Fourze would so love this.

Yep, I agree. Rocket Transformation in space, it's just......so Fourze XD

--I don't know if anyone is paying attention to the ED theme dance footage anymore, but it's getting awesome. I just saw people in armor and stuff dancing to the music. Epic!

I agree with this too. At first we're just seeing kids dancing rather "randomly"....and then as it goes on we get more and more kids and teenagers in COSTUME doing a WELL-SYNCED GROUP DANCE. It's awesome.

Anyone notice the single most annoying 'message' of the episode? They couldn't fight without their weapons. :redface2: I mean hopeless, they didn't even try. I thought that was really sad.

Just another aspect of Go-Busters that started off slow and uninteresting to inspired and flavorful.

They should take those design flaws off their fists, because they seldom use them.
