I'd prefer to have the final battles with the mechs still intact and not destroyed.

GoGo V and TimeRanger. I grew up with those, and those are definitely some of the the best to me.

Watching the rest now though. I do recall Jetman's battle being pretty epic. It's been awhile since I saw Jetman.
