Wouldn't getting bit that much hurt Wataru?

This is probably one of those questions with an answer of "just cuz" but I just had to ask it.

Wouldn't getting bitten by Kivat hurt Wataru before he transforms? I mean, the guy doesn't even flinch. This might even be explained (I just started watching it this morning because there were finally enough episodes out, and I'm only on episode 12 right now) There might be some more things I need to ask, but right now this is the only thing I can think of (I had 2 or 3 more questions a few minutes ago, I just forgot them)

I don't think he feels it because the monent he calls Kivat to the moment he stops fighting, he's completely concentrated on the fight ahead. Its like he's a different person when he transforms. Anyway, I think he's too focus on the fight to feel the bite he expects everytime.

Not all bites are painful. Mosquito bites don't hurt, for example (they itch, but not until much later).

When his fangire blood is activated by kiva, he gains much more power and enducrance, that's why the bites doesn't hurt that much
