Would you or wouldn't you?

Howzit ALL,

Some of you guys might know that I recently built a KR1 suit in the style of The FIRST, but it has the color scheme of KR1 New Version.

Anyway, I wanna "try" to make it look like The NEXT KR1, even though the "Battle Worn KR1" helmet I got isn't even close in color to the one in the movie. This would mean painting this belt white.:disappoin

IIRC, this belt was made in 2004 or something like that...so, like the thread title says, "Would you or wouldn't you" paint the belt? I feel like saying "screw it" and just running the red belt, so as not to ruin it, but another part in me wants to "try" and keep the theme "proper"...reason being...ahhhh, I'll explain sometime this week...hopefully.

So...would you paint it or not?

TIA for all opinions, and Henshin Safely!:buttrock:

Which part, the buckle or the strap (haven't seen THE NEXT yet)?

Yo DigDoug "Malmsteen"!:buttrock:

Whoa...that makes two of us then...I haven't seen The NEXT either.:disappoin Only have seen pics of the Riders from the movie.

Anyway, ya see everything that's red on that belt? I'd have to paint it white.

Thanks for chiming in, and Henshin Safely!!!:buttrock:

It all depends on how well you paint, and if you can find paint that isn't going to leave the belt "sticky" or weird looking. I'd probably even try and "test" on the inside of the belt to see how it looks.

My suggestion is one of two things --

if you can paint well and can find the right paint, paint it bro, if not, buy another belt that is white if you can.

could always sell the red one to me when I get another job:thumbs: :169:

I say don't do it. After trying to imagine it white, it looks better red to me, & then there's the chance you may mess it up. It looks fine as it is to me, so why alter it? That's just my opinion though.

Mahalo KamenGrappler and x1xBladex1x...

Thanks for your help and for voting...wow, over 70 something views and only three votes.:disappoin
*sigh*...:disappoin

ANYWAY...I would have to paint the belt white if I make my KR1 suit color like this one. Again, my helmet color is way off, but at least the belt would be "accurate". Wouldn't this suit look "odd" with a red belt?

THANKS again guys, and whoever took the time to vote against the paint job. I appreciate it.

Henshin Safely...

Sorry Ridah XD I though it you just didn't get it anywhere near the belt you could work it out, or just get a white belt and replace it like switching one with another.

Thanks Demetrivamp,

But um...what?:sly:

Mahalo for chiming in...so I take it ya voted "NO" against the paint job? I am not sure if they made a white belt like the one pictured above...

Henshin Safely!:buttrock:

Don't know where that came from, but the Malm does ROCK!! :jam:

After seeing your suit, I think that it would look better if you kept the belt the way it is. I'm sure you'd feel better about not changing it in the end, anyway'

Hey Axeman!!!

Thanks for posting. Yes, Malmsteen is an insane guitarist...

My suit...see, that's the "problem". I keep seeing pics from The NEXT, and am digging that "Teal-ish, metallic color" on KR1's boots and gloves, and I think his jaw piece is the same color. Then there's his blackish blue scuffed up helmet...WHOA!!! I ain't brave enough to paint my helmet, so I was thinking the belt...

Here is a pic for those who didn't see it. KR1 New Version, in the style of The NEXT:

SO...if I kept the belt red, and painted my boots and gloves in the form of The NEXT color...that'd just throw everything off, eh?:shakefist

Henshin Safely and thanks bro:thumbs:
