Will Power Rangers Jungle Fury be postponed?

The Ends JustiΦ's the Means
With the recent Writer's Strike going on, most shows are being put to a halt. I know that LOST has only 8 episodes done. But, what about Power Rangers Jungle Fury? The only reason I ask this is because my brother just told me that he saw somewhere that the PRJF Producers/writers went on strike as well. I dont have any concrete evidence to back this up. So, I was wondering if anyone else heard about it or have proof of whats going on. I havent been paying attention to the news as of late because Im soo busy, so Im not even sure if the strike is still on. And most reports talk about when it started, not if its continuing or if it was settled. I guess just fill us in on what you know.

yeah wasnt there a picture of Jackie at the strike? From what I've heard, the PR writers are WGA affiliated and are definitely on strike.

Some people have suggested that even if the writers and producers at PR are on strike, a lot of the scripts may have been written up. So Disney could just film what's been written. We may not see a delay or postpone for a while.

But at the same time; Writing a script depends on having the Sentai tape and footage on hand to write by. It's been said that during some seasons, the producers wouldnt get sentai footage until days before they needed to shoot. So they would have only short periods to write what they needed to write.

Around this time, I would say about 7-10 episodes may have been written and filmed. That's just a broad guesstimate. The DT production calender (schedule) I have shows them filming eps 4-7 on Nov 6. And 8-10 on Nov 20. But we know that each season has a slightly different filming schedule. If I remember correctly, Bruce mentioned they were done filming episode 7 of MF during Youmacon (Nov 2005)? (I probably am remembering wrong.)

I'm babbling, I know.

The writers are definitely on strike. That means until this strike ends, JF will be unfinished. As far as we know, anyway.
According to various news articles I can find, it doesnt seem like negotiations are moving at all. The strike continues to get more people in the biz to lose jobs.

That's an interesting article with some numbers. Numbers are nice.

I'm sure that with the advent of the internet they get their sentai footage much faster than before. I mean if we can get raws the next day why can't Toei digitally send low quality episodes to the PR writing staff as quickly?! Sure the good quality footage for editting might take longer but it'd be easy to have reference no?

They could always just hire writers in New-Zealand, those guys aren't on strike and they're shooting there so it wouldn't be illegual no?

Except those writers would never be allowed to write in the States. It's not worth the risk at all.

Well for me, I would give it ten episode and then *BOOM* the series is officially cancelled. But I am not sure if PRJF will ever make it to it full production, so I sincerely doubt that it will be postponed. :redface2:

It's easy for us because we're somewhat breaking the law to get the raws that quickly. Going thru 'legal' channels takes a little longer.

Not illegal but immoral. Those writers would be blackballed in the US. And that's not worth the risk...yet.

No, they wouldnt be allowed to write for affiliates of the WGA in the states. And what if these NZ writers didnt CARE. That's what I've been trying to say. What if two NZ writers didnt care about writing for the USA nor never planned on writing for a WGA affiliate... ever.

YEah, I see what you're saying. Like sending the staff of PR a heads up before hand. Like just to show them whats going on while they wait for the real deal, high quality footage in the mail.
