Why the Re-cast on Decade?

Oh for God's sake...

Whoa, slow down there, cowboy! I'm not looking to start a fight. Relax.

Joe doesn't like toku as a genre, but he did more or less enjoy working on Kuuga.

Yeah, but Odagiri did have some difficulties working on the show, though, to an extent. (Partly because of his lack of interest in the superhero genre.) He feared being typecast, so he never wants to do another tokusatsu production again.

Okay, so it's a different character in Decade. Thanks for the clarification! (Many of us were fooled.)

What was wrong with Nagano?

You don't know? It's commonly known!

Nagano is the most expensive actor among the Heisei Ultraman actors. It's difficult for Tsuburaya to include him in certain ads and promotional material (especially for The Superior Ultraman 8 Brothers), because the manager of V6 (Nagano's pop band) wanted more money for his likeness.

But Tsuburaya got a better deal than the dilemma Toho faced in Godzilla Final Wars, where Masahiro Matsuoka (the star of the film) was so expensive that Toho couldn't even show the movie's trailer! (Just one reason the movie bombed in Japan.)

Nagano Hiroshi is a Johnny, its not that they wanted more money, is that he has schedule conflicts being in shows hosted by V6, as well as the actual conflicts of using his likeness in promotional material because of the tight control Johnny's & Associates has over their talents. One thing Johnny's & Associates likes is money, and if they can pimp their talent out as much as possible they will use it. Obviously there was a tussle somewhere in terms of marketing and Nagano's image, which is the biggest problem ANY company faces when they include a Johnny in their shows -- because of tight ban on using their images online and etc.

I've rarely heard of a fall out between a production company and a Johnny talent because of money issues.

It's not a manager, its a talent agency.

You know, the casts of Super Sentai warriors have reappeared in the team ups RIGHT? So what's the problem with Kamen Rider casts?

The casts of Super Sentai reappear in the annual team ups, but that last participation probably is in their original contract, it's not something that must be arranged separately.

With Decade, they aren't only bringing back Riders, but also seemingly entire settings and casts, including secondary Riders and non-Riders, from multiple seasons. Keeping the original actors would be impossible for something in this scale. Even the VS Super Sentai team ups only brought back a single hero from each series.

When Decade visits Den-O's world I hope they can bring back the Voice Actors for the Taros. Well maybe at least for Momotaros because Seki Toshihiko said in Anime Expo that he was huge KR fan so getting him back shouldn't be difficult unless there's schedule conflicts :redface2:

Wana know the real reason for the re-cast? Cause the Rider's can't reprize there roles like one man did.

OK 1st, the recasts suck, appearance-wise, but at this point I am ok with it. We cant expect a the show to buy out all of the old riders we loved. Im willing to see how they work...

2nd... WHO THE FRAK IS KAMEN RIDER ABYSS??? They are introducing a new Ryuki-world Rider???? He looks pretty awesome, and for those that cant read katakana that IS what it says. Matches the color scheme and the marine (sea, not military) theme of the suit. IM INTRIGUED!!
