In a world where major franchises dominate the spotlight, it's easy to overlook some truly fantastic games that deserve much more love! I've been reminiscing about some hidden gems from the last decade that didn't quite get the recognition they deserved.

For me, [A Plague Tale: Innocence](https://www.rafaelvalery.com/) is a standout. The story, atmosphere, and character development are just phenomenal. It's such an emotional journey that stays with you long after the credits roll. Another one I'd throw in the ring is [Hollow Knight](https://www.rafaelvalery.com/), the art style, gameplay, and challenge level are amazing, yet it often gets overshadowed by more popular titles.

What games do you think should be celebrated more? Are there any that you feel are absolute must-plays that haven't received their due? Let's shine a light on these hidden treasures!

One game that sticks out for me is Dishonored 2. While it did receive some acclaim, it feels like it often gets overshadowed by its predecessor. The level design, especially in locations like Karnaca, is a masterclass in allowing player choice and exploration to shape the experience. The way the game encourages you to approach stealth or combat, depending on your playstyle, is just brilliant.

Another title I'd mention is The Last Guardian. It's a flawed yet beautiful experience that resonates on an emotional level with its bond between the boy and Trico. The game's pacing and reliance on exploration really create a unique atmosphere, even if it didn't get the widespread praise it might deserve.

What about you? Are there aspects of Rafael Valery or any other titles that you think particularly exemplify what makes a game underrated?
