Well there will be some very light light spoilers but nothing more!

Ok I am watching the hibiki series finally & I can not understand the hate for it ... unless its something that happens latter on... so far I am only up to episode 12 ish or so ....

The only reason why I can think of the hate is !

1 no one says henshin
2 kamen rider are not called kamen rider but called ? Oni ?
3 the main rider hibiki can not even drive a bike    cracked me right up! let alone drive!
4 no belts! There is a belt but it has nothing to do with the henshin like most series
5 no rider kick (not really the first time for this though...)

Uhhhmmm... there may have been more but they escape me at the moment... So is the above the reason for the hate of the series as I have seen people state that its not a "true" kamen rider series in that sense?... Other wise I see nothing wrong with the series & I think I am hooked! Its almost as bad as faiz as in I can't stop watching it! I just keep downloading and watching and downloading :D

I just hope it has a better less $(*#ed up ending than faiz  poor faiz :buttrock: Also for those of you like me who have not checked it out yet give it a shot! It its a bit odd though at first! First episode I watched I was all ... "WTF did I just watch?!?!??" HEH!

even though recent series have been using more Metal Heroes aspects than the original formula, most of the newgen Kamen Rider series can still relate to at least SOME of the older generation series in some shape or form.

Hibiki, however, cannot, not even in the slightest.

There's also the fact that some don't care for the whole "demons and music" motif. I know I don't, personally. Cards, I can deal with. Technology, sure, but demons and music... it doesn't work.

One have to watch it by not thinking Hibiki is a Kamen Rider series would have liked it.

But one with hopes of watching Kamen Rider and with influence of Faiz and Blade. Hibiki would be out of the scene lol... it all depends on the mentality when watching Hibiki.

When i first watched Hibiki, i was looking forward it as a Kamen Rider series and i stopped after first 10episode. Total let down.

Then later i watched it telling myself this is not Kamen Rider, and then i seemed to finished the whole series lol..

So you mean to tell me that you'll buy people fighting monsters with cell phones, cameras and cards, yet musical instruments that resemble actual weapons is too much? This fandom amazes me sometimes.

I enjoyed Hibiki just fine with thinking it's a Kamen Rider series. Is it as visually correct to the Kamen Rider legacy as most series? No, but it's still got the basic traits, a person transforming, wearing a mask, riding a bike and fighting monsters at the cost of his own humanity. Actually, I think that's something Hibiki has on nearly every other series since Agito.

seriously... there's a hibiki thread like this eve month.
With the same people voicing their opinions.
We get the point let's move on.

Actually, I found Hibiki interesting. Though the show seemed to mess up in some areas, its theme revolved on Asamu's own journey with Hibiki as a guide. Plus, seeing the various monsters of japanese myth was interesting. Plus, the use of musical elements to fit with the subplot that music is a omni-present-force that the Oni use to fight Makamo.

As a Kamen Rider series, it's questionable. But as a stand-alone series, it's very good.

so one forced you to read the thread. There are plenty of threads i think are dumb, I just close that window and leave it alone or depending on the title dont read it. I suggest you do the same.

Edit:

Hibiki is my fav Kamen Rider, It has more character development and plot than most. It has masks, Bikes, Defeating of monsters that threaten humanity. How is it not a rider series? It may of originally been supposed to be a separate series but it KR now and it was good.

Hibiki feels more like the Original KR to me, with the no longer are human and the casting off of the human mask to fight as an oni.

and how is Cards that give you attacks, or capture enemies any more believable? And it worked very well IMO.

My Reasons
1 Don't like Japanese History Background
2 Prefer modern tech and setting which mostly they live in old temples
3 Using Musics as power
4 the main chracter seem too old
5 Boring dialogues when you watch the beginning

I actually enjoy the movie and some part of the series.

What I've watched of Hibiki was great. I think the things it did differently were refreshing. As much as I like the basic KR formula, it's nice to see things mixed up.
