I had just finished off the series right before I posted and was irked that it didn't resolve a lot of things that were introduced. They even go to climax the final fight scene at the end of episode 47 only to not finish it in the final episode.
That really only irks me because it could have been one hell of a battle, but in the long run, it really wasn't that pivotal to the series in terms of story, but it would have been an awesome sight. What the series really needed was at least one more episode to flesh things out. While I like the ending we were given, it could have been a lot better with just one more episode, which is why I think they cut that final battle, they were running out of time to tie things up.
I really don't mind the second half of the series, sure it's nowhere near as good as the first half, but it's still a lot better than other series. The transitions from the writers was really rocky and I think that's due to the fact that Inoue and Yonemura have vastly different styles when compared to...what was it? Takadera Shirakura?
Personally, I wouldn't have cared too much if Hibiki wasn't labeled as a Kamen Rider series, might have given the series a better chance at launching a franchise (and what an awesome franchise that would have been) but the fact that it did end up as a Kamen Rider series makes sense because it does embody a lot of the classic traits of the franchise, maybe not all of the superficial traits (I really, really, really think this is the reason 95% of the fandom doesn't like the series), but they're there.
Annnnd, the Armed Saber wasn't too much of a bickering point for me. It still used the musical aspect pretty well, story could have been a little better, but it wasn't as random as other series power ups.
