Sokichi did not "create" the lifestyle of "Hard Boiled". He specifically references The Long Goodbye, as does Shotaro in episode 1. He just actually lives by the lifestyle, where Shotaro pretends to but doesn't really.

I feel odd saying this, but I really don't think Skull is as awesome as people make him out to be. I suppose I find it hard for characters that are literally written to be hot **** to be cool unless there's a really interesting story going on, but that doesn't happen with Skull. He's got a mediocre suit design and the character himself never appealed to me that much, which sucks because Koji Kikkawa is just being wasted in a lame role as he's relegated to flashbacks and mimics.

Well, I guess Aoi needs to get some sort of content to be able to judge if something is awesome or not... For most of us, simply seeing him stand there is cool enough. And there are a few who likes the suit design, specially with the addition of the fedora and the scarf.

Kamen Rider Skull is pretty direct though I don't agree with with having a Skull Magnum. He needs a better weapon...like this...:buttrock:
