Why I hate 3-D(And you should too)

Those moves might be great in 3d, but this point still stands... If you wear glasses already, going to a 3d movie is beyond problematic.

It's not even real 3D. It's basically just the normal 2D image stretched out of the damn screen itself via those ridiculous glasses. Real 3D literally is looking at all 3 dimensions.........you're still only seeing 2 Dimensions when going to a "3D" movie.

So yes, 3D movies are nothing but a marketing ploy b/c they're not even showing true 3D. Video Game Graphics are better at showing 3D than the fucking cinemas do

It's funny because this is how people responded to films with music. With color. With great shot variation. Don't worry, the change won't bite you.

As I have said before in another thread, I agree with VengenceGOD's response. :P

Also, I don't have a BluRay player or any discs, but the BluRay version does have more content than a DVD. Granted, it is only extra material, but Bluray discs have a capacity of 25-50 gigs (single layered), and DVDs are currently stuck with 4.7-8.5(if it is a double layered.

The old sales line on bluray was that it would make 2 dvd sets obsolete. That everything you could fit on 2 dvds you could fit on a bluray disc. I wonder what happened with that promise. Bluray isn't for me. I am fine with dvd. If people like bluray great, I will pass.

3d is not some big new thing in media. It's been around since the 50's. Yeah it's a little more advanced now, but it's still just the same old fad. It will die off in a few years. But as long as people keep paying the up charge for 3d movies, hollywood will keep churning them out.

OH, i'm not for Bluray taking out DVD. I much prefer DVD, because the quality is fine, and the price is not bad.

I would just like for a recordable Bluray disc. That would be awesome.

In other words, you have no clue what the difference is. If you actually like, watch the behind the scenes of Avatar, you'll realize it's more than a 'slight upgrade.' It's a new way of filmmaking.

I agree its a waste, but that the effect is possible isnt a total myth. Like i said befor the only good 3d i ever seen is in a theater in a dutch theme park.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCYYAUdf678

Basicly the theater, the screen and the glasses were specialy designe to give the full effect.

So i think if you want 3d you realy have to try hard then just converting and putting a glasses on.

Thing is those became more commonplace and unobtrusive to any film and can be enjoyed at home mostly. As of now it is used primarily for specific live-action movies, would it be beneficial to use it for a average drama or comedy?

As of now it's more of an in-theater thing much like "performers in the audience" which went out.

"It's a passing fad" I can understand, but did people complain about movies with color and sound giving them headaches/eyestrain and making the experience less enjoyable for them? (If so, citations plz.)
