Why I hate 3-D(And you should too)

I'm not the biggest fan of Ebert and I rarely if ever agree with his opinions, but right here he pretty much nails every single reason why I dislike 3-D as well.

The whole 3-D trend is nothing but a marketing scheme. Everyone should know that by now.

Very rarely would I see a movie in 3D. The only thing that I find to be my biggest problem is the cost of tickets (even in 2D) have been rocketed sky up, plus half the time those 3D glasses they give to you barely fit those that wear glasses. I remember seeing SPY KIDS 3 with my relatives the glasses kept toppling to one side and made it hard to enjoy.

I really would not say that I dislike or hate 3D, but it is really not a big thing to me in general. After reading it this I can see why others hate it and respect it, but me in general...well...I've already mention. Guess you could say that I'm on a neutral level with this.

Man he hit the nail on the head. I hate 3-D. It kills me.

I went to see Alice in Wonderland and the theater closest to my place wasn't playing it in 2-D in English. Either I see it in Japanese (and only kjinda understand it) and pay 1500yen or I see the 3-D in English for 2000yen. I ended up leaving the theater with a terrible headache and unsatisfied with the film itself.

Every movie i have seen in the theater for the past year or so has been in 3D, and i now refuse to go there to see any 2D movies in theaters now. Theater-going is suppose to be an Experience, and i don't get that from Non-3D movies anymore.

Maybe i'm just easily taken by whats trendy?

the only good 3d experience ive seen was the Panda Dream a attraction for a dutch theme park.

I was so glad when i saw iron Man 2 in 2d(remember its already out here.)

I saw Avatar in 3d, everyone kept saying that it makes things leap off the screen but I dunno...it just seemed normal to me.

I pretty much agree here though it doesn't mention my biggest hatred of 3D; the complete waste of cinematography. You're basically throwing out over 100 years of cinematography just to create pointless shots made only to make the 3D seem neat, be it foreground effects like Avatar pulled a lot or throwing **** at the camera which is the halmark of all cheap 3D movies even in the days of blue-red glasses.
