Why haven't Metal Hero returning to TV????

Metal Hero series itself hasn't been returning to TV for eleven years now, so what the deal?! :shakefist

I remembered somewhere that Metal Hero intended to replace Kamen Rider, so far it hasn't happening so far. I just want to know why they haven't bothering to bring Metal Hero series back to life?? :sly:

These days Toei would rather make their Metal Hero and call it Kamen Rider for optimal marketplace synergy.

Yup, that's the most likely answer. Business = you don't **** with what's raking in cash. The end.

Geez! Is the title "Metal Heroes" really THAT Hard to market? I mean that suits are badass enough for a 5 year old to want to buy the toys (at least for me and my friends it was)

Toei is just too afraid to take risk in making a series outside of Kamen Rider or Sentai

Compared to Takara Tomy who has more balls in taking risks with their Tomica Hero series

Frankly there is no reason for it to exist anymore. Whether by design or happenstance Metal Heroes was a replacement for Kamen Rider, except with Toei in complete control. Unlike with Kamen Rider that required the involvement and approval of Ishinomori with Metal Heroes they could with it as they pleased. But now with Ishinomori gone there is no real impedance and Kamen Rider has better brand recognition anyway so Metal Heroes no longer serve a purpose.

Look at Ryuki, Faiz, Blade, Kabuto and Den-O.
Look at G3, Ixa, Accel etc.
They ARE Metal Heroes. They are just called "Kamen Rider".
In fact, if I am not mistaken, Ryuki was originally supposed to be a "real" Metal Hero show.

To be realistic, the Metal Hero franchise was kept on life-support during the 90's, and it started moving further and further away from the original universe that the Space Sheriff trilogy had created.
It already started to go downhill after Spielban. While Metalder became insanely popular with the older fan base, the show did not manage to appeal to the kiddies. Shows like Jiraya, Blue SWAT and Janperson had the same problem. They were marketed as kid-shows, but were aimed at an older audience.

It's the same reason Toei yanked it off the air. Bad marketing leads to bad results. Brilliant job, Japanese NBC

And the last two Metal Hero installments were so forgettable I tend to treat Juukou B-Fighter and B-Fighter Kabuto as the last Metal Hero series.

... And nobody noticed that Hyper Kabuto totally resembled Super Blue Beet?
