Why does shipping from HK take forever?

No matter how much I pay for shipping it's ALWAYS 3-3 1/2 weeks to recieve anything from Hong Kong.

Really? I typically get stuff from Hong Kong in around a week, sometimes less. Where do you live? The issue might be on your local post office's end more than HK's. I know once I bought something from New York that took three weeks to get to me... because it sat at the local post office undelivered for two and a half weeks.

I'm from the Philippines and the stuffs I ordered from Play-Asia always got to me after 3 weeks.:shakefist
Well, I'm using their Free Shipping option so I think that's the reason.

Well, at least it gets there. Better than waiting for nothing at all since some countries here in Asia have lots of cases of lost shipment. :anime:

Yeah. So far, those shipments are insured so in case it get lost, I can get a replacement or refund. :D

I think it's more a case of location. Based on personal experience, fastest so far from Hong Kong to Singapore takes about 5 days up to 2 weeks max for SAL, either from Playasia or from Hong Kong sellers on ebay.

Hong Kong has always been pretty fast for me. Usually, 1 week and sometimes even less. Most likely your item was shipped via the cheapest method. Any parcel shipping from China via the cheapest method will be damn slow.

im in toronto and it usually takes me 1 and a half to 2 weeks..
i think after buying online almost every 2 weeks, the goods get here when they get here. usually too busy to keep track of stuff and be in a state where im staring at the wall counting how many seconds until the stuff comes. i suggest occupying your mind with something else and time flies by like a jet.

There's only been 2 occasions for me where it's taken a while, and one of those was in November.

But otherwise, Hong Kong's always been fast to process things. Things usually arrive within the week, and in many cases, only 3-4 days via airmail, which is faster than EMS from Japan.

I've even gotten stuff in 3 days via Air Parcel mid-December, which was a surprise.
