Which animal are you ?

"I'm a Water Pig?".

Jesus, it's worse then I thought.
Don't worry,

Water Pigs – Years 1923 and 1983
Water Pigs are trustworthy almost to a fault. Others can easily influence Water Pigs, but Water Pigs are also good at influencing others to get what they want. They’re extremely social and enjoy having a good time.

So being a Pig is just fine :anime:

For years I thought I was an Ox because of the year of my birth. Recently however I discovered that because my birthday is at the start of feb. it is before the chinese new year, meaning according to the chinese calendar I was born in 1984 not 1985.

Make note of this people! If your birth date is in January or February, you are acctually the year before! You might have the wrong animal without realising it. Best bet is to use the little zodiac calculator thing they have on that website.

ok, now im confused. my B-Day is on Feb 14 1987... i think im a rabbit, did i read it wrong or something?:disappoin

Couldn't have they picked better animals? Most of them are the lowest and suckiest of all creatures. We need lions, tigers, sharks, bisons, rhinos and other cool stuff. All we get is fricken monkeys, rats, pigs and...rabbits. wth?

There is a Dragon though so thats always uber!

Does that mean you like to have alot of hot sex?.

Well sex is great :D. Whether they rabbits in them or not, thats something else.

That's kind of misleading. It really does depend on WHEN Chinese New Year starts. Example below.

You're a Fire Rabbit. Year of the Rabbit began on January 27, 1987. If you were born January 26 THEN you would been a (Fire) Tiger. Next year of the (Metal) Rabbit will be in 2011. (And to REALLY confuse you, you're also a Wood Tiger because you're birthday is on February 14 and that falls into the month of the Wood Tiger. If I knew what time you were born I could tell you what your animal actually is.)

Since this will be Year of the Rat, we're beginning the 12 year cycle once more. It's also an Earth year which is good for those born in years of the Earth. You won't be as lucky as those whose sign is that of the Rat, except Water Rats won't have much good luck since Water and Earth are (in layman terms) opposites.

I use to be able to do very detailed charts and could tell people exactly what their sign was other then tell them what year they were born. Take me for example, I was born in Year of the Wood Tiger but my own personal sign is that of the Metal Rooster. My animal happens to be the Horse due to the hour I was born. But unless you want a detailed chart then most don't need to know their month or hour signs.

Couldn't have they picked better animals? Most of them are the lowest and suckiest of all creatures. We need lions, tigers, sharks, bisons, rhinos and other cool stuff. All we get is fricken monkeys, rats, pigs and...rabbits. wth?

You've never heard or read the story of how the Chinese got their astrology animals? It's a good story but it does vary between Buddha and an Emperor being the one assigning the Zodiac places to the animals and it does vary between it being a race and the animals being summoned. Basically the animals were chosen in how they arrived before Buddah/Emperor. Because of the differences in stories a couple of signs vary between rabbit/cat and ox/bull.

Most of the stories do include the reason why the cat and the rat hate each other now. In my favorite version the cat and rat were best friends and because neither could swim asked the ox if they could ride on his back as they crossed the river to the Emperor's palace. The Ox agreed (this would have placed the Ox, Rat and Cat in the top three spots) and as they were crossing the river, the rat pushed the cat off the Ox's back into the river. The cat couldn't swim and was swept away by the water. The Rat and Ox arrived, first and second, followed by the other animals. By the time the cat arrived to the Palace it was too late - he arrived in 13th place - and he was left out of the calendar. To this day the cat hates the rat for pushing him into the water and hates the water because it swept him away.

But at any rate, the Chinese Zodiac is based on a legend on how the animals arrived to be placed in the Zodiac.
