Catch wasps every time, no skill required, in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. This isn't the usual run away and turn around tip - this is so simple, even a 4 year old can pull it off every time.

You might have seen advice on how to do this on Nintendo Switch's hit game, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but the big tip floating around still requires some skill. This technique will work every time, no skill needed.

Do you find yourself getting stung when you're shaking trees? Maybe you come back from a mystery island tour with a wasp sting every single time? Not only do you have to deal with the pesky eye swelling, but you're missing out on a lot of bells, too.

Each wasp sells for a hefty amount: 2,500 bells each. With five of them on your island every day, plus one on every mystery island you visit, that's a minimum of 12,500 bells from your island alone! The wasp nests, which are used to make medicine, are also used in other recipes. That means if you're using them to make medicine, you're missing out on their other uses. Don't just sell them though, as they'll only net you 300 bells each.

Several recipes use wasp nests - more on how to get them later. These recipes are the honeycomb flooring, honeycomb wall, and beekeeper's hive. The beekeeper's hive also requires wood, but the flooring and wallpaper need nothing other than wasp nests. The flooring requires five, while the wall requires six. Besides getting these awesome items, they sell for 3,000 and 3,600 bells, respectively. This will double what you can earn! The beekeeper's hive sells for 2,400 bells, but will also need five wood.

You obtain these three recipes from villagers on your island. Occasionally, you'll find them in their house using their crafting bench. If you talk to them during this, they'll give you a recipe matching whatever it is they're crafting. Some speculation shows that certain villager types offer specific recipes. It is believed that Jock type villagers hand out the honeycomb flooring and wall. A list of all Jock villagers currently in the game can be found at the end.

Now on to what you need to do. For this trick to work, make sure you have your net out before you start shaking trees. The key is to be in front of the tree when you shake it. You'll also want to make sure it's clear from any weeds in the front. If a wasp nest falls out of the tree when you shake it, it will fall and land in an empty spot, and you'll immediately face it as the game shows your character's reaction. If the area in front isn't clear, the wasp nest may fall towards the back.

As soon as you have control, press A and swing. Don't move or turn. Just swing. If you aren't in front of the tree when this happens, your character will have the tree in between you and the nest when you face it, meaning you'll hit the tree instead. If you're too far to the side, you may end up shaking the tree again while the wasps sting you. Otherwise, you've just caught yourself a wasp!

Here is a complete list of the 70 Jock type villagers listed in alphabetical order: Ace, Analogue, Antonio, Axel, Aziz, Bam, Biff, Bill, Billy, Boone, Boots, Buck, Bud, Champ, Coach, Cobb, Cousteau, Curly, Dom, Drift, Flip, Frobert, Gen, Genji, Goose, Hambo, Hamlet, Hank, Hector, Iggy, Iggly, Inkwell, Jay, Jitters, Kevin, Kid Cat, Kody, Kit, Leonardo, Louie, Lyman, Mac, Moose, Mott, Peck, Pierce, Poncho, Quetzal, Ribbot, Roald, Rod, Rory, Rowan, Rudy, Samson, Scoot, Sheldon, Sly, Snake, Sparro, Sprocket, Sterling, Stinky, Shoukichi, Tad, Tank, Torou, Teddy, Tybalt, and Woolio.
