I agree with most of you. I gave up on Wizard during the early 30's episodes (First, after episode 31, then after a while; gave it another chance until after episode 33, & then just said, "**** it" altogether). Basically, it was great at first, but then it just started going downhill after Phoenix was gone.
Magiranger is a lot better compared to Wizard in terms of a magic theme, & it's a Super Sentai series that was from 8 years ago.
Well magiranger was actually about magic. Wizard himself is called Wizard.. But what he does isn't really all that different than most other riders. Guns, Swords, new forms...

Swords and transformations could have been worked very easily into a "magic" theme though. Guns not so much, but there are plenty of magical swords out there, and transformation via magic is hardly a new concept - heck, though they don't exactly focus on it, it IS what Haruto does, after all.

the magical aspect of the show is more gear to the show's gimmick of rings though. there is no need for magic spells of the sort like what magiranger did.

Read what you just said.. "There is no need for magic Spells" IN a show where the PRIMARY focus is that of magic.... Because .. Yeah wizards are magic users... I mean they could have done a show with rings and called in Kamen Rider Ringer or some crap....
