What's with the hate of Kamen Rider Wizard?

Imagery and Product Placement!

I can make up some crap about colors too. Anyone can do it.

That may be true, but the terms "green with envoy"and "royal purple" are important imagery.

...highlights are there to make the belt look cooler so it sells.

From a product placement standee; you are correct. I think we should agree that it was not on accident they chose those colors though.

Design elements, especially colors, are very very very very weak attempts at foreshadowing and really cannot be considered as such.

Aside from the lack of main plot and character development and lack of Nitoh’s purpose which has already been mentioned, here are some of my personal criticisms about wizard (in no particular order)
•Wizard barely uses his bike. In episode 2, they introduced an awesome bike chase/battle, but that was about it. Lack of bike use also makes it look like Somehow all the phantoms are within walking distance to the cast which I find weird.
•In the very early episodes, the battle choreography was really great, mainly wizard’s flashy flips and kicks. But that virtually disappeared long ago. Aside from the occasional use of rings, now his fighting style basically consists of twirling his sword around.
•Haruto’s personality – it’s either lacking and/or inconsistent. Take Godai Yusuke for example, in his first few scenes, we saw him cheering up a boy who got separated from his parents, and one of his quirks was we occasionally see him climbing into his friend’s building through a window. From these examples, we can get a basic picture of what kind of person Godai is; likes to cheer people up/make them smile, adventurous. The first time we saw Haruto in the series, he was eating donuts on top of a street lamp. Most people would consider this bizarre and I thought it was one of his quirks. But 40+ episodes later we never saw him doing anything bizarre like that and now I am wondering ‘wtf was that about?’, maybe the writers didn’t know what/how they want haruto to be like? Basically, what I’m saying is that his personality seems inconsistent and unlike most other main riders, the series did not make me care about him.
•I will mention Rinko since she is probably my least dislikeable/hateable character in wizard. I’m sure I’m not the only one but I expected her to be similar to Ichijou from Kuuga and Terui from W. Terui had plenty of character development and he we regularly saw him doing his police work adequately. With Ichijou, there wasn’t much character development besides developing trust for yusuke (ep1-4) and doubting whether he made the right choice in involving yusuke (ep48). In addition, there was a brief conversation by other characters about his past and why he became who he is (ep16). Although, these were all brief, I felt it made me understand/like him better. On top of that Ichijou was a veteran detective and IMO he did his job superbly, evacuating civilians (mostly off-screen), looking out for Yusuke’s wellbeing (to the point of nagging him to go see a doctor), occasionally coming to kuuga’s aid during battles. Rinko on the other hand has had no character development and we barely see her doing any police/detective work. Because she is a rookie, there was so much potential for her to grow as a character and as a detective, but unfortunately the series failed to do so.
•I don’t want to get started on Koyomi and jar jar binks
•I don’t like how Koyomi and Nitoh’s life threatening situation and Haruto’s mana limit are generally forgotten for most of the series and only comes up when the plot (what so little of it) requires it to.
•Personally, it annoys me when riders don’t have/show any consequences of using upgrades and stronger forms. Wizard has access to his 4 dragon upgrade styles, dragotimer (4 vs 1), all-dragon and infinity. These upgrades are hell of a lot more than what most riders get, yet there doesn’t seem to be any consequences. In that case, why don’t Haruto just spam his infinity, rather than fighting phantoms in his basic styles and dragging the pointless fillers?

Yeah so like I said these are my personal criticisms based on my observations of the show.

Belt Colors!

Do you think they just randomly chose those colors for the belts? No, they did not. Colors are a big deal! What about the Dragon Styles? They are foreshadowed based on the color of the Magic Stone they come from.

Except in all likelihood, the belt was designed long before the plot was ever written, and the stones were-- I'm sorry, I have to ask at this point, are you trolling? You can't seriously not see how far you're reaching at this point.

Color and Its Importance.

No, I am not trolling. I just want you all to see that color (and its connotation/ emotional value) plays a part in media. May I ask how I am "reaching"?
