What's so bad about Go-Busters?

Who is this Nakagawa person?

And I did think the second half of Go-Busters was vastly superior because stuff was actually happening (albeit, not by much, and the episodes were still dumb like the wrestling ring one).

Shoko Nakagawa, also known as Shokotan.

I didn't see a whole lot of Gobusters, but I still contend that the main three characters were largely uninteresting & unrelatable. I suppose they did better with Makoto & J, but those three were just boring to watch.

On the other hand, when that show wanted to be dramatic, it was pretty damn so, so they obviously knew what they were doing. Just a fluke of reasoning- sometimes writers are afraid a specific aspect they're in love with will drop if they do something with a character or story. It tends to ruin a lot of potentially good sagas...

But, I had no idea of some of these. Wrestling episode? WTF?

My favorite character was Ryuji. I thought he was an interesting spin and his rivalry with Escape was cool. I loved the part where he voluntarily overheated with a studio light fixture to take her on!

Enter basically created a giant TokyoDomeRoid that took in Go-Buster Ace and forced hiromu to face various Megazords in a giant robot sized wrestling ring while keeping the others out with a force field.

I thought it was a fun episode. Ace is always cool to see in action.

Yeah, the Wrestling episode was one I liked after a long slump of bad episodes. It was quite creative to be honest, and one which showcased a good plan from Enter.

Enter's plans which actively targeted individual members of the Go-Busters are quite refreshing in modern Sentai. Mostly nowadays we have the members getting attached to objects or people that become targets of attacks, unlike in the 80s where the enemies would tailor-make plans to take out members individually.

And even if it failed to destroy Hiromu or Go-Buster Ace it still netted Enter tons of data.

Escape feels like a composite (appropriate in a sense given her nature) of past villainesses. In particular her devotion to Messiah feels Ley Nefel-ish, and her trigger-happiness, so to speak, like Shelinda. But she's still rather bland overall. This show touches on things but almost never develops them further. That I think is the biggest flaw.

It might have worked better if Enter stayed dead and a new avatar came to replace him. Then Escape could probably have gotten a bit more development as the senior of the two.

I don't see the big deal about this one. Sentai's done far stranger things that people don't seem to question.
