What makes a great Tokusatsu show?

Well, also keep in mind that you need to be practicing in other areas as well, like editing and (especially) directing, and not predominately acting and action. Direction I can't stress enough, because that's literally what makes or breaks the film. Do you have any directing experience?

No, this will be my first real directing experience, but my look on what will happen is the film will be ok, I don't expect it to be great or good. Just ok. So what ever happens happens, but if you look at the work of France Five, they built off of each one and it took'em to ep 4 to get it nearly perfect. But I'm only planning on a trilogy to get this story done, the story is more important to me atm. Then I'll worry about the other things that come after it, cause first I need this script done. Also all three will probably be ok anyways, but I'm doing this to enhance my directorial skills, along with acting and what other areas I need to work on. This is for experience and for why I like KR. Nothing more then that.

I'm still on the script, I want it to be a good script that I like, though the movie will probably be just ok. I'm getting the script done first before anything else. Though I have worked on suit designs, none of which I like so far.

Well, you don't have to settle for "okay." It'd be in your best interest now to get ahold of a cheap camcorder and just start making short films to practice so that your bigger projects will be better. Everybody has in them a quota of really bad movies that they kind of have to get out of their system before they start improving drastically so it'd suck to start your first film, an homage to a genre you love, at the "suck" level. Keep in mind also that France Five wasn't that director's first film. Usually first films are gigantically bad and it's noticeable like a fat guy at a Vegan convention.

And who do you plan on getting the suits made from? Or are you making them yourself? What kind of materials do you plan to use? Will it restrict your movement? Does it just look lame? There are tons of factors to consider other than just "This is what the costume will look like."

The suits will probably be like biker suits to an extent with the bug look of KR as well. So probably fake leather, though that's one choice, the other is to go the spandex route, but I'm iffy on that. Plus I've had enough crappy films that I've had to do that I just became sick of it, cause that's all the films my friends wanted to do, was to just make stupid vers of Jackass. =.=" I hated that, also I only got to make one of my own films which was suppose to be 20 minutes or so, and ended up being like 5-10 minutes of just fast paced action, cause everyone wanted me to hurry up so they could do their own film.......... Grrrrr.... So if I want to do this as my first real film, then I'll do it.

Though I am dreading of going the spandex route, also my friends won't help in the acting or action department if they are to wear spandex or anything that resembles PR, they are those type people who hate PR.... and don't want anything to do with what they think is PR. Even though I do explain that KR isn't, they still don't listen... so it's more likely they'll work behind the scenes and maybe as monsters.

Oh and I do have a camcorder, I got it for one of my past christmas'.
