We might all die in 172 years!!! (Asteroid is coming)

Like somebody said earlier, we'll all be dead by then. Second, if this is gonna happen in 172 years, people will most likely have the technology to stop that asteroid by that time...or at least try to stop it.

Not that I don't agree with you that we have that tendency to blast ourselves into the stone age again, but there was this show in Discovery where they discussed the means in which we can prevent an asteroid from hitting the Earth, I remember one of them involves a rocket which won't destroy the asteroid, but would cling to it while it is very far away, then with small bursts, push it into one side which is enough for it to evade Earth, since it doesn't take much to push something away in space.

Besides, we already have the technology to stop this, all we need is the funding- & trust me, if an asteroid is actually going to hit us sometime in the near future, it will get the funding.

As stated above, we'll be all long dead by then so it won't be our problem plus by then technology would be so advanced I'm sure they be able to create a barrier or something around the earth.

If technology gets better it's if people rejected Religion as is and became spiritual and logical beings . There's a difference. I'm spiritual but I'm not religious .

People can't fund properly as it is . All the republicans would just capitalize on their fears , suck the funds and spread their tyranny if there still is an America by then. Then it will be underfunded and they'll die like the dinosaurs.

Besides , the asteroid will probably miss us like all the others, and one of the planets near us will be dead.
